Our youth,the young executives,the bankers and directors of companies are all dying in instalments,faster than most people,because of lack of exercise.Obesity and diabetes are epidemic and almost becoming "status symbols"
For some,getting regular exercise may be easy.However for the great majority of people in Asaba,as easy as it is,they are not doing it. Truly,whatever is easy to do is also easy not to do.People are just too busy for there own good,too busy to exercise,too busy to eat right and the list goes on.There are also those who can not afford to register in a gym or buy sports equipment,and when you tell these ones to jog or walk,they complain about security and bad roads.
Now,with the high incidence of obesity,hypertension,diabetes,heart attacks,strokes and the attendant complications,loss of man hours.loss of finance,loss of lives,no one needs to tell anyone to take health issues seriously.
What do we do?
Exercise is one of the key lifestyle modifications in the prevention of diabetes and a myriad of other health issues,let us start from there.I make a case that the busy person should pick up exercise through a sporting activity that he enjoys;it could be football,tennis,squash ,badminton,e,t,c and do it consistently.it could be for three hours in a week,or thirty minuites everyday.Just start and commit to continuity.

Table tennis requires very few and inexpensive equipment.it is fast paced,depending on your level of proficiency.It helps improve hand-eye cordination and also great for cardiovascular health.Playing table tennis,you can easily get the required daily exercise requirement.You will not be lacking opponents,as there are table tennis lovers everywhere you look.
Why not take up table tennis?
The hellish work schedule of a lot of people is real,so are the health risks.If you neglect your health in the pursuit of wealth,you will spend a good sum of it in recovery of lost health.
The time to start taking positive action is now.
